Richard first arrived in 1634 to Watertown, Mass, where he then moved to
Wethersfield in 1635, New Haven, Conn. in 1639, and Hempstead, Long Island
in 1644 where he was one of its most promonent magistrates. In Stamford,
he was one of the largest land holders.
